In November 2016, Shannon Odell opened Living Lotus Massage as a mobile massage business, serving the busy and diverse San Francisco Bay Area, CA. Through the 900 hour core program at the National Holistic Institute, College of Massage Therapy in Emeryville, CA, she pursued her dream of becoming a Massage Therapist and Health Educator. This extensive program included many different massage modalities, as well as anatomy and kinesiology. Shannon is able to apply this knowledge of the body to provide specific techniques that address pain and tightness caused by daily, repetitive movements. She has extensive training in finding adhesions and addressing them with Deep Tissue and Myofascial Therapy techniques. However, if you prefer a more gentle approach, she can also relax and soothe the muscles with Swedish and Shiatsu sessions. Each person is different, and the session is designed to each client with their own needs.

As a "mobile" Massage Therapist, Shannon brings the spa to you! The table is 4ft by 6ft, and as long there is space to move around the table, she can almost fit it anywhere. This past year, Shannon has been in a wide variety of settings for her massage clients; she's been in a Tour Bus of a well known rock star, massaged a LuLaRoe consultant in her "LuLa Cave", did a few massage events for some ladies during a "Sleepover Event" and a couple "Spa days", and has even given massages during her vacation while camping and traveling with her family at the beach. Most recently, she has been invited to do sports massage for the Kevin Durant's Basketball Fantasy Experience and with the Oakland Raiders at their training facility in Alameda. She travels to your home, sets up a massage table or chair, and provides her services in the comfort of the client's home, and they don't have to worry about traveling to an office. To offer this unique service, she does require a small travel fee, which depends on the location. This helps out with tolls, gas and wear and tear for her small vehicle.
